Welcome to Louisa’s world of interior design and furniture.
As a little girl I grew up with wonderful furniture belonging to my grandmother and mother. I remember at a very young age running my hands across the dining room table and feeling the walnut wood under the palm of my hand. I remember sleeping in a French four poster bed which bewitched me for years as I would rub the bed knobs and pretend I could fly though the window ( after the film bed knobs and broomsticks!) and I would often creep up and down the creaky staircases at night with a silver candle in hand I would sit on the staircase and just listen to the clocks chime.
After my convent years at an English school I went to university in France and I settled into my studies in Bordeaux. Over the course of the following four years I visited chateaus in southern France and weekends were normally full days at flea markets and French fairs where I would barter and buy small picture frames and mirrors or old books or pieces of fabrics.
Years have gone by and my life has been involved with selling houses and after many jobs in interior design I opened my own furniture shop in Palma de Mallorca. Sadly, after three years of opening this shop and selling my collection I closed the business and now I am opening my ideas and thoughts to you, design ideas and furniture for sale. Many of the items I have painted myself or refurbished.
The joy of taking an old piece of furniture and bringing it back to life brings me so much pleasure. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is any furniture you wish to buy…………
